"I would like to paint a picture of the Canadian West in Peoples' hearts and minds"
—Eldon Blanchard"

Eldon Blanchard was born Northern British Columbia. While in his teens he discovered he had a natural inclination towards "Cowboyin". At the age of seventeen he began to travel and work as a cowboy in western Canada.

Eldon has supported himself working as a Farrier since the age of twenty-three. From his experiences Eldon gets his inspiration to tell of historic events and their affect on the cultural-evolution of the Canadian West.

The Twenty First Century is fortunate to have a walking, breathing, thinking man of the old west to tell it's special stories. Eldon is blessed with a Balladeer's voice and the inspiration of the romantic. With each new song the listener is enlightened about the rich full western lives, both past and present.

Today you might catch Eldon competing in a rodeo, shoeing horses or performing anywhere the west has working ranches and western venues. Eldon is a student of the west, the "Cowboy Code" and the people of the land who have contributed so much to the western way of life .

"I'm always going to be rop'in, rid'in, shoe'in, work'in as a cowboy, no matter what success I might have as a song writer. As I get older, I find it easier to bring my stories out through the eyes of the pioneer and immigrant. Reliving similar events of times past, the rodeo ride, the young cowboy alone on the range and the remote existence of people settling the west"

—Eldon Blanchard
